About the role
Extrude Hone is hiring 1 Service Technician position in Irwin, PA. Annual salary: $83,000–$90,000. Employment: Full-time. Provide installation, maintenance, repair and technical support for Extrude Hone equipment at customer facilities. Based in Irwin, PA, with travel of 60% or more depending on customer needs.
Responsibilities
• Respond to customer equipment inquiries, complaints and service requests promptly. • Arrange travel and service visits to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machines. • Assess parts, resources and time needed, order components and coordinate warranty matters with Customer Service. • Assist the Machine Build Department with assembly when needed. • Communicate customer concerns, requests for quotations and orders to Sales, Engineering and other teams. • Record service calls, repairs and parts in Salesforce and follow up on spare-parts, media and tooling orders. • Submit service reports, expense reports, receipts and supporting documents after each trip. • Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
• Technical diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; without an engineering degree, three to five years of customer technical-service experience is required. • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical-control systems. • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes and hand tools safely. • Ability to read mechanical and engineering drawings, prints and schematics. • PLC knowledge is a plus. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds, reach above shoulder level and stoop to floor level. • Valid driver’s license. • Ability to travel 60% or more, depending on customer requirements.
